I’m Bastin — founder of Curry Nadu.
Long before this brand began, I was a child learning what it means to grow up without the steady presence of a traditional family. In a world that often defines you by your background, I saw early how society treats you when love and support are missing.
Yet by God’s grace, I was also blessed with good-hearted people who showed me care when I needed it most.

Those experiences taught me the quiet pain of absence — and the deep value of presence.
They also revealed something profound: that it’s often women who hold families, kitchens, and traditions together.
And when we uplift them, we uplift entire generations.
The heart behind Curry Nadu
Curry Nadu was born not just from a love of spice, but from a deep respect for the women who carry generations of culinary knowledge.
Women who:
• Turn a handful of masala into a healing meal
• Pass down recipes through memory, not measurement
• Preserve flavours, stories, and culture — even when no one else notices
This brand is my tribute to them.
To the strength of tradition.
To the hands that feed and the hearts that nurture.
Building something bigger — The Spice Circle
My vision is to grow Curry Nadu into a social enterprise rooted in heritage and powered by women:
- Traditional Recipes — We source authentic, family-rooted recipes and work with women to bring them to life.
- Women in Production — Our spices are manufactured and packed by women using traditional methods.
- Future Ownership — In time, we’ll help women and families start their own spice shops or fast-food kitchens using Curry Nadu blends.
- Paying It Forward — We invest first. They grow their business. Later, they support the next woman in line.
We call it the Spice Circle — a sustainable chain of empowerment, one recipe at a time.
